That was answered the first time you made a thread on them. Reread the
thread and look up everything mentioned within it. You will find your
answer by doing that. The thread is at
http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/20358

I brought to light the dispensa for Josefa a daughter of Nicolás Vallín and
Petrona Ramirez and granddaughter of Victoria de Sotomayor.

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-18566-43995-45?cc=1874591&wc…

Therefore we have proof that the husband of Petrona Enríquez de Calderón,
alias Petrona de Isla, was also the husband of Petrona Ramirez.

Since Petrona Enríquez de Calderón, alias Petrona de Isla, married Nicolás
Ballin de Sotomayor which was recorded recorded 26 Jun 1692 in
Aguascalientes and a month later 28 Jul 1692 in Nochistlán you can find the
names of his parents in those records.

LDS Film 0299823 Marriages 1663-1702 Aguascalientes, Ags.
LDS Film 0226725 Marriages 1691-1736 Nochistlán, Zac.

However the names of his parents are in that same thread in a post by Bill
Figueroa. I think you should be able to find the parents now.

Saludos

Ballin or Vallin, It's not as common as Gonzalez or Gutierrez but it was and is common. It's found throughout the Nueva Galicia Region. Jalisco, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes and even into Guanajuato, San Luis Potosi and Nayarit.

Yes, Nicolas Vásquez Vallin and Victoria de Sotomayor are the parents of,
Nicolas Vásquez Vallin, the husband of Petrona Ramírez.

Vallín is from Spain according to www.linajes.net which says -
*Linaje con origen en Asturias, del lugar de Ballín, cuyo nombre tomó, del
Ayuntamiento de Villaviciosa, en la provincia de Oviedo. Se extendió por
Asturias y Cantabria.*

Fuentes: *Repertorio de Blasones de la Comunidad Hispánica - Vicente de
Cadenas y Vicent.

The BAllin (or Vallin) Family

Do a search of NR for Nicolas Ballin; there was a moderate amount of discussion about the Ballin family last Fall.
